This petition is concerning the 6 month Exec re-elections.
With the re-elections of the 6 Exec positions (including alt) it would go as
 follows:
Every 6 months 3 of the current Exec positions would be opened (loki, mandy
 and jar), then for the next week you could nominate yourself, or someone else
 you felt is qualified for the exec position. This includes the Execs, for
 example: Loki's Exec spot was opened, he could nominate himself for Exec
 again. or be nominated. You'd do this by creating a petition for yourself or
 the person, and just like normal GP Petitions you would need atleast 8
 signatures to get on the final ballot for voting. Due to the nature of this
 petition, voting will not be in the voting booth, due to the reason that is
 run by an Exec. For voting, a completely anonymous mailer will be created and
 members will be asked to mail their votes there. The 3 new Execs are
 determind the same way as any GP election, the 3 with the most yes votes get
 the spots. Then 6 months later the other 3 (lkj, dul, and diss) positions
 would be opened and filled the same way. With only 3 Execs being elected at
 the time, there would always be 3 Execs that have severed atleast 6 months
 and would be able to help the new Execs learn the ropes.
This re-elections would accomplish several things.
1) It would allow other members a chance of leadership. (How are they ever
 going to learn if they aren't given the chance?)
2) It will ensure that Execs are still wanted in office.
3) Reaffirm the Execs as a form of feedback -- If you're re-elected, you must
 be doing something right.
4) Promotes security in the structure of the general GP, in that, if one exec
 leaves, it can be replaced.
In the past the Execs have stressed the responisiblities and commitment it
 takes to be an Exec, and what hassel it may be for the re-elections with
 transfering objects. This problem is easily solved:
1) #109274 please take a look at if you haven't already. It would make the
 re-elections run a lot more smoothly. 
Or 
2) Owner transfer station -- transfering GP owned objects from old Exec to
 new, with the ownership transfer station. Whoever had the object gives the
 quota with it when transferred.
