Some of my past and present affiliations: NorthWest Mountaineering Journal They are a classy journal with outstanding contributors. I regret not having time for editing any more. The Mountaineers They are the premier outdoor education club of the region. Their move to Magnusen Park (I've been volunteering with the construction of their new facilities) will be tremendous, both to current members and to citizens of this city. Climbing Club at UW The UWCC was my primary social circle in grad school. I met many great and diverse people, many whom I still count as close friends. I was president (CCP) for many years and am delighted to see the club continue to succeed under new leadership. Seattle Mountain Rescue I am a volunteer "rescue technician" for them, which is my title according to the Dept of Homeland Security. The unit consists of climbers at heart who have additional training with helicopters, medicine, professional rescue rigging, etc. The unit is one of many local units, all of which are dedicated to saving lives in the mountains.
Arguments why climbers should not be regulated nor have to pay for
rescues:
I should add a cycling page too. | ||
