Gary Yngve received his doctorate from UW in 2008. He is now an
engineer at a small startup, doing some really cool things. Much of
this webpage is outdated, especially teaching/research. A newer version
should sing praises of ruby, discuss various open-source projects, and
have other smatterings of nerdiness. His
non-academic / non-work passions
include food (fine dining and cooking), music (listening to classical
music and playing the cello), cycling (commuting, recreation, advocacy),
photography (shooting and digital postprocessing), duplicate bridge, and
the outdoors
(climbing, backcountry skiing, rescue, photography).
